“My response would have to be that I’m just really stoked that she even knows who the Pussycat Dolls are,” Nicole said, giving us a thumbs up. “I’m a huge fan of Lily Allen’s and um, that’s all I have to say about that,” she added with a restrained smile.

Examiner - I used to do some publicity work for former WBC Light Heavyweight Champion Adrian Diaconu of Romania. About a year ago, I was flying to Bucharest for his title shot against Chris Henry of Houston.

I was contacted by a PR firm in Hollywood that a famous American entertainer would be singing the American national anthem and asked me if I could help them with credentials and such.

The entertainer was Carmit Bachar. The beautiful Bachar, a former Pussycat Doll herself, now forging a solo career. .

Carmit would be in Bucharest with her agent, make an appearance at the Hard Rock Cafe there and her PR firm was hoping to get as much publicity for her as they could while she was there. Carmit not only looked great but she could belt out the anthem.

Manila Times - Half-Filipino entertainer Nicole Scherzinger recently agreed to star in a superhero movie with boxer Manny Pacquiao, Solar Entertainment announced Tuesday.

Wilson Tieng, president of Solar Entertainment, said in statement that the film was currently under the working title Wapacman and was aimed to debut at the Metro Manila Film Festival, which is normally held during the Christmas holidays. Tieng will produce the film.

In the movie, Pacquiao plays the role of a single father who is suddenly imbued with super powers, and Scherzinger will be his leading lady. Tieng added that there was a possibility of including star professional wrestler Dave Batista, a Filipino-Greek, in the cast.

In interviews held during her visit, she revealed her admiration for Filipino Tony Award winner Lea Salonga as well as a number of other Filipino talents currently prominent in the States. She also expressed her desire to sing the Philippine National Anthem for Pacquiao’s upcoming bouts saying that he is her inspiration.

Should Wapacman push through, it will be the first film where Scherzinger would play a lead role.

The R&B babe, whose Kanye West collaboration Knock You Down is currently at No 5, told me: “I wrote Alienated, one of the songs on my album, for Nicole’s solo project.  It was a good album but she decided to go back to the Dolls instead of releasing it, well she was kinda forced to I think.”
