Mirror - Speed junkie Lewis Hamilton is revving up for the New Year’s Eve of his life. And the Formula One star better have plenty of fuel in his tank… because he’ll be shacked up with all FIVE Pussycat Dolls.

He and girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger, 30, have been planning a top secret New Year’s Eve party in London. The couple have been scouring high-class estate agents for a £3million townhouse in exclusive St John’s Wood to rent.

Not only does it have to be the perfect party pad, but it must double up as a comfy base for the Dolls, who kick off their world tour in January. By then, Lewis could also be world champion - so it has to be fit for a racing king.

Nicole, a woman who usually gets exactly what she wants, has demanded that it must have at least five bedrooms. A steamy outdoor hot-tub that seats at least six is an absolute necessity, so Lewis, 23, and the dolls can all unwind. A romantic roof terrace and an indoor pool are also big musts, as well as a state-of-the-art gym ahead of the UK leg of the Pussycats’ gruelling world tour, starting in Aberdeen on January 18, then London’s 02 on January 27 and Liverpool on February 6.

An insider said: “Nicole simply cannot wait to pack her bags and move in. She’s so excited about the prospect of spending New Year with Lewis and the girls. The girls love London, and are even getting a guest list ready for their bash and are deciding how much Cristal champagne to get.”

We always thought it was old ladies who ended up living with a load of pussycats - but somehow we doubt Lewis will be complaining.

Last month we revealed that the Dolls were set to shake their booties in a new movie, loosely based on their life. Lewis’s girlfriend Nicole hinted: “We want to take PCD to the next level. One of our guests on our new album is Timbaland, so you never know who might turn up in it.”

But the news is likely to anger his Brit fans who are desperate to see him take the crown this season. The McLaren driver had assured fans ahead of his appearance in Japan that he was much better prepared for the title showdown than in his debut season. He claimed he was calmer, more relaxed and a better person all round. However, it only lasted until the lights went out at the start in Fuji and he lost the lead to Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen, 28. Now motoring chiefs are praying he gets his head out of Hollywood and back on the track.

A Formula One insider said: “It hasn’t gone unnoticed that Lewis is never out of the celebrity pages of the papers and the bosses are not happy. It seems he has become more famous for his choice of girlfriend rather than his expertise on the track.”

After the race yesterday Lewis said: “I represent my team, myself, my family, my country and I do it the best way I can.”

The News of the World revealed that care worker Lockhart sometimes regrets letting her then-teenage son go and live full-time with his father, Anthony, as he pursued his F1 dream.

Hamilton said: “Mum could never have afforded any designer clothes so I took her shopping recently and got to spend money on her. It was the best day ever. She gave me up to a certain extent. It was very difficult for her. Even today she sometimes cries and says she wishes she never did it. I hadn’t seen her for a long time and we just had such a great lunch. It was fantastic.”

And the girls hope they can inspire women everywhere to find their inner Pussycat Doll. Nicole said: “We say that inside every woman is a Pussycat Doll. You need to embrace everything that you are - your passion and your artistry, your fashion, your differences - and that’s what you bring to the table. That’s what being a Pussycat Doll is.”

Despite the confidence they all seem to ooze, the Dolls are dogged by tales of in-fighting and jealousy that Nicole gets all the limelight. Jessica has even admitted she pulls “people’s hair” when they’re not getting on.

But Nicole insists the girls talk any bad blood out. She said: “That’s been a huge lesson in life. We don’t get away from each other, we live in a bubble and when you have conflicts it really teaches you how to deal with it. With every relationship, communication is the No1 key to making it work.”

With their friendships sorted, next step in the Dolls ‘ world domination comes in a week, when they fly to the UK for album promotions, then on to next year’s tour. But, with only Nicole’s face easily recognised at the moment, they still have a long way to go to rival the Spice Girls’ Girl Power stand.That said, they aren’t about the hang up their trademark raunchy kit to show their serious side.
